Our Dogs

Our dogs are a combination of home-bred and carefully selected imported lines, which we have been focused on developing for many years in line with our breeding programme.

First and foremost, our dogs are very much members of our family. We get so much pleasure from sharing our lives with them and make sure they each receive plenty of individual time and attention. They all have their own very distinct characters, quirks and habits that make us smile every day.

We are also very proud of our Waldershelf show team, which includes dogs who live here with us as well as dogs we co-own with close friends.

On a practical level, providing this quality of life naturally limits the number of dogs we can physically keep at home with us, there is onlly so much room on the sofa! We are therefore incredibly fortunate that some of our dogs live with their co-owners or in Guardian Homes with special families, all of whom have become dear friends. These dogs remain very much part of the Waldershelf family and may be shown, bred from or otherwise play a part in our future breeding programme.

This arrangement means that all of our dogs, whether they live with us, with a co-owner or in a Guardian Home, can enjoy fantastic, fulfilling family lives with plenty of love and individual attention.

On each dog's profile, you'll see their ‘resides’ 'family home listed. This shows where they ordinarily live and, if you're visiting us, gives you an idea of which members of our wider team you're most likely to meet at home with us.
